DrDane > 9884 On the Edge, Mt Shasta, California - July, 2005. Perched on the edge of a 400-foot precipice above beautiful Castle Lake with Mt. Shasta in the background, it's hard not to feel exhilarated! Local history states this area was the site of a battle between the resident Native Americans and encroaching miners in the 1800's.
