DrDane > 7257 Friends, Assisted Living Facility, Ashland, Oregon - Feb 2007. As we age and experience greater physical limitation, or conditions like hearing loss, we tend to become more isolated. Loneliness is a major problem in the elderly population, and a good friend is a true blessing.
DrDane > 1528 Grace's Wheelie, Benecia, CA - Jan, 2004. A fun picture of my 92 year old mother on her scooter. She wasn't really doing a wheelie, of course, as the original was crudely modified in my early days of Photoshop use. This image has sparked a lot of humor among friends and family.

DrDane > 4470 Quiet Presence, Ashland, Oregon - July, 2006. Cuddled up against Mom, this little girl has an innocence and direct presence rarely seen in adults. Her parents are very loving, open and aware.
DrDane > 7845 Kaho Koinuma - Mandala Artist, Ashland, OR - March 2007. With no previous training in visual art, Kaho spontaneously began creating beautiful sacred healing mandalas in August of 2006. She now travels in the US and Japan presenting events entitled "A Celebration of Love - Mandalas and Music, " along with recording artist Sam Vittoria. DrDane > 16070 Human Vulnerability, Ashland, OR - Aug 2007. A recent fall resulted in a puncture wound in her arm, which is now infected with a serious bug (strep). Life in a physical body is an inherently risky affair at any age, and especially for the elderly.
